Warren Wendell Short
JANUARY 12, 1949 – MARCH 12, 2021

Warren Wendell Short, age 72, was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on January 12th, 1949 and went to be with his LORD on the morning of March 12th, 2021, while residing at AUTUMN BREEZE HEALTH AND REHAB in Marietta, Georgia. He is survived by his sister, Susan Short Aliffi, who resides in Marietta, Georgia. Warren was preceded by – and was the first and only son – of Wendell Culp Short and Elva Irene Huffman.
He was a unique blend of a German baker who retired from Nabisco and a Cherokee Indian mother who lived to be 95 and was the glue in their household. She completely invested her heart in both of her children and preached that all human beings are priceless. Warren's proof was his many committed and life-long relationships, with some spanning five decades at the time of his passing.
In stature, he was a large man who hated conflict, was incredibly soft-spoken, and placed others’ welfare above that of his own. Even though his many infirmities read like a medical textbook accompanied by copious amounts of pain and suffering, he was a true overcomer who will be deeply missed.
